Free AI Homework Solver With Step-by-Step Explanations
Use SolveTap’s subject-specific Chrome extensions to capture geometry, physics and statistics homework and work through the explanation.
Start with the problem in front of you
Don’t retype your homework. Screenshot it, understand the steps, and keep studying. SolveTap’s free, no-signup Chrome extensions work with captured questions, uploaded photos and typed problems. Install the relevant subject extension to solve a full question; the website’s calculators handle specific formulas directly.
Three subjects, three kinds of reasoning
- Geometry Solver: interpret labelled diagrams and connect each proof statement to a theorem.
- Physics Solver: identify a model, select an equation and check units and direction.
- Statistics Solver: identify a procedure, check its assumptions and explain what the result means.
A subject-specific workflow keeps the relevant checks in focus. It does not make an AI answer infallible: verify the interpretation and compare the reasoning with your course method.
How SolveTap works
- Install the extension for your subject in desktop Chrome.
- Capture the complete question and its diagram or table, or upload a clear photo.
- Read the interpreted givens before following the solution.
- Ask a follow-up, such as “Why can I use this equation?” or “Can you explain the second step?”
See the installation and screenshot guide for capture tips.
Try a question with a checkable answer
Geometry: “A right triangle has legs 6 cm and 8 cm. Find its hypotenuse.” Physics: “A cart starts from rest at 3 m/s² for 4 seconds. Find final velocity.” Statistics: “For 2, 4 and 6, find the sample standard deviation.”
Worked example: the right triangle
- Identify the right angle: the two given sides are the perpendicular legs.
- Write a² + b² = c².
- Substitute 6² + 8² = 36 + 64 = 100.
- Take the positive root: c = 10 cm. Check that it is longer than either leg.

Privacy and learning first
No SolveTap account is required. Captured problems are sent for AI processing, so crop out names and unrelated personal information. Read the privacy policy and follow your course’s academic integrity rules. The deterministic calculators on this site run locally in your browser.
Questions before you start
Can I solve a problem on this page?
Full AI screenshot solving happens in the Chrome extensions. The linked calculators work directly on the website for their stated formulas.
Can I use it on my phone?
The website calculators support narrow screens. The extension workflow requires a compatible desktop Chrome installation.
What if the answer looks wrong?
Check image labels, missing units and the stated assumptions. Ask for a corrected setup and independently verify the answer; do not treat AI output as an answer key.
